Many moons ago I bought a tail bag that was split into three strips made from lycra and you divided your horses tail into 3 covered each pice with a strip then plaited it. Does anyone know the make or where to get them from? Thanks in advance

I use up my old sheets like this!! A square with 2 rips almost to the top, wrap each section and plait....the bit at the top (the hem part) has a shoe lace threaded through to hold it up to start.....

Good Grief! That was an easy earner then, a piece of ripped lycra

Wish I had thought of marketing that :(

LOL Age does bring some benefits!!!

You should see what my very young baby goats wear at the moment when it is so cold still! I cut squares of thick polar fleece, make four slits and thread legs through - goat coat!

I am one for make do and mend, or just make. I am not sure whether thrifty is the same as being a complete skinflint ;) I will be doing something with Ella's mane and tail as it s so beautiful and I don't want it ripped out, so your sheet idea has been filed away for future use :) Thankyou.
