Three swollen legs

For the last few days my 26 tb has both hind legs and one front leg swollen around the fetlock area. They are fine and normal in the morning then when I get there at night they are up!
nothing has changed diet wise there are no cuts or grazes. He is not lame or sore, he does have arthritis in his hind legs.
Has anyone any advise?

Has he been standing still a lot before you arrive? It could be lack of movement (maybe he's been sleeping?) before you come up that causes the swelling and it then goes down again as he moves about.

Too much protein can also cause legs to fill. Is his diet at night different from his diet during the day? Is he turned out during the day? Have you had recent rain that might have caused the grass to have a mini flush and be much richer?

No change in diet morning to evening, and yes had rain and I thought all the same tbh I have been walking him in hand at night to see if that helps, he does just stand a lot tbh, but I thought this would happen more over night??
