keep flushing with hydrogen peroxide, keep beds dry and try (hard at this time of year) to turn out on dry fields! you could try to buy some thrushbuster works well. make sure the farrier trims his frogs thoroughly each time he is shod! sheep foot rot spray also helps. pick out feet and dress at least twice a day.
my foal had been a bit tender whilst picking out his feet for a few days and was pulling back (very unlike him). got farrier to have a look and he said he has thrush. he hasnt got black discharge(that i have seen) but you can see the underneath of his frog.i pick his feet out everyday and he was on straw, have now put him on shavings, put him on box rest as fields are very wet and washing with iodine everyday.
pick up some sheet foot rot spray from vets, fab stuff for treating thrush. Teramycin (sp?) is the one I use. Be careful if keeping in all time as on shavings he can get poo or wet shavings in feet which can make it worse.
i have some blue spray already from previously. shall i use that instead of purple spray. his has pure white bed of shavings and bed is very thick so doesnt ever touch wet bits. mucked out 3 times daily.
Yes if its the stuff for foot rot. Pick feet out and then use the brush on the end of the hoof pick to brush it out thoroughly then spray. The other thing you can do is to scrub the feet out with a pevidine scrub - stronger than hibiscub.
Bed sounds fine, its just I know the wet or poo can get stuck in the feet when on box rest.
There is a very good product called Anti-Bac from Swan products which is excellent for thrush treatment and prevention, should you be unable to get on top of the problem with foot rot spray, which is also excellent.
If your foal doesnt like the spray the Antic bac comes out of the bttle via a nozzel so also less chance of getting covered yourself in the blue or purple sprays.
Iodine is not bad either but washing the foot wont help much and will only keep the foot moist.
I stand by my suggestion of the antibac and stop wetting the feet.
Also im sorry but your pictures are completely out of focus and dont show me anything
