There are better products you can use, that don't damage the tissues.
I tried just about everything, including peroxide and found that Red Horse Sole Cleanse is good stuff, as is Naf hoof master. Iodine is also good.

Milton fluid is very good for clearing thruch - one part milton to 2 parts water
