Update in Lottie's stubborn foot that wasn't imoroving like the others...

She's had a trim and he trimmed the frogs!! I'm moving yards so investigating different trimmers/farriers anyway. Not sure what I'll do about that at the moment.

Anyway...

To me it looks like the split in her heel has opened up and I've really been able to scrub it out and pack the field paste in there.

This is the only foot that hasn't improved since I've been treating the thrush. I've Cleantrax'd all 4 and I sm now scrubbing in milton and then drying and applying field paste.

I need to order some hoof boots and get her waking out once we move yards (better hacking been struggling to do enough really) Any ideas or tips on measuring?

stop letting your farrier trim the heel and the frog will get more stimulation from contact with the ground-apart from that it is looking fairly good, it just needs to grow out.

I have old mac boots but in over 2 yrs have not had to use them

pack it with hoofstuff rather then field paste, stays in better and will allow the frog to regrow inside out!

I don t mind a tidy of the frogs, but that seems far too much off frogs esp for a horse that needs frogs!
Looks like the farrier has just got in to the habit of preparing the foot for shoeing, if they can't understand the difference, get a trimmer.
There are full instructions on how to measure on the boot sites, its easy, I managed to order a size too big, as it was marginal, and I returned them, by which time horse was 100% again.
