Hi all

My horse has what i believe to be a sarcoid, a few inches in front of his sheath. Its growing downwards (probably about 1-1.5 inches long currently, and maybe 1cm diameter) not rapidly, and isnt causing him any problems due to its location, so im reluctant to get the vet. I'm monitoring it for now, but if it just stays the same i'm considering using this Thuja cream, to see if it will drop off.... what are peoples experiences of this? I've read many success stories, just want some piece of mind regarding horror stories! has anyone experienced negative reactions to this stuff?

Also, theres no chance my boy is letting me actually touch the [sarcoid]; another reason i dont want to get the vet, as he would probably need sedating for any treatment; so i'm wondering if i can get a spray version, closest thing i've found is "thuja tincture" spray, again has anyone used, or know anywhere that does a spray version?

Thanks all

I used Thuja tablets, which would be easier for you than a spray. I considered the treatment a success as the sarcoids disappeared, and I hadn't knowingly changed any other management.

there are several options a vet can offer you, be very careful of using off the shelf stuff as while they work in some cases they can sometimes make issues worse.
