Firstly i'm very impressed by the service, I ordered a sweet itch buster from them yest am and it arrived 10am this morning. And it fits, almost - to be fair horse a nightmare to fit rugs too and had to get a 7'3".

So my question is, why do you cross the straps under the belly. This is the part of the rug that doesn't fit, straps just arn't long enough for my boy. I've fixed it by just going straight across, which I know isn't right but it's going to have to do!!

wouldn't think it would matter. with my rhino the straps are not mean't to cross but I do cross them as otherwise it would hang too much

It's to help "anchor" the rug when rolling etc. It stops it being pulled to one side. If it's tight however I doubt it will roll much but keep an eye on your boy the first few times to make sure he doesn't get stuck with a lop sided rug!

If you have or know someone with a sewing machine you could cut the belly straps and extend them with webbing. You can buy webbing or if you have an old rug that is only usable for parts snip some off that. The belly straps on my 7' 3'' just about fit but they are out as far as they will go. Perhaps we need to let PE know that there are fuller figure equines out there.
