Thunderstorms.....

Yes, if I know there will be T storms overnight, I will bring most of the horses in. My two stay out as they have a field shelter but no trees. The other paddocks have a few trees and I worry that they will be struck and branches fall on the horses. Often though, I get caught out by an unforecast storm and lie there worrying in bed.

Is the whole country forecast thunder? I am trying to load the met office but I keep getting a server error :( Computer seems to be struggling with life today :)

Since 2 horses less than a mile from me were killed by lightening strike a couple of years ago, thunderstorms now mean my shod horses definitely come in.

Ours are out 24/7. Most of them don't even notice the storm.

Personally there are more horses I'd worry about being in than out. And I'd never barn them in one.
