My old horse is now 34 years young, still hacks out and has never given me a vet bill.
He is very overweight at the moment, not just a spring grass belly. The whole yard are on just one low-sugar feed per day and are looking good except him.
I noticed today he has a big movable lump in his throat latch, abut the size of a small orange. No nasal discharge or respiratory problems.
Could this be an enlarged thyroid, if so does anyone know what the treatment options are? That is drugs - I don't think surgery is an option for an old boy like this. I don't want him pts as he has such a happy life.
