Normally I'd say burn or twist, but it is too tricky an area IMO. I tried burning then whisky-ing one right between my dog's eyes and I nearly flambe'd the poor thing

If you just pull up the jaw can get left attached and lead to infection. I always use one of those green tick remover things and then drown the horrible gross little things
