Can someone give me some advice?

I havent had my colt for very long now hes 2 years old. Hes very calm for a 2 year old the calmest ive ever seen you can push him toy around with him and he doesnt really care.
However,.... I am having problems with tieing him up when i do he pulls back against the leadrope and moves himself around squashing me up against the wall, he absolutely fine if i stand there and hold his headcollar while grooming but thats no very convinient.
What can i do to teach him that tieing up is ok?

Thanks

It sounds as though he's a fidget!! My 2, now rising 3 year old colt does the same sort of thing.. He fidgets, moving pretty much constantly, chews his leadrope, has learnt how to slip his headcollar off using his leadrope behind his ears, leans back pulling the leadrope tight etc.

I've doubled up the string that he gets tied up to as he knows by leaning back and pulling hard enough it will snap, he also learnt very quickly he wasn't to squash me up against anything!

He still fidgets but doesn't barge in to me at all, he respects my space (unless I've got his dinner, then his face is in mine lol!) I've just had to be very firm with him. Like I've said to other people before, they don't feel a shove or a slap like we do!! :)
