Hi, has anyone had any experiences with Tildren?
Osc's physio has just been out and I was talking to her about his grumpy attitude at times when he is working and that I thought it may be due to hock pain as he is starting to get older. She suggested talking to my vet about this drug.
So I just wondered whether any of you know of any good results from it? Thanks

I've used it, what appears to be successfully, on my navicular horse.

Tildren has been cited as being used to treat a number of things, hock spavin included. According to my vet the best results have been seen in navicular.

It's not a cure all drug and the drug itself does have some side effects, it certainly isn't something that a vet would just administer on an undiagnosed problem as far as I am aware.

Certainly worth chatting to your vet about it by all means but you may find he/she wants to explore other avenues first.

My horse had this treatment for his bone spavin. Unfortunately for him, it did not seem to work. I think it depends on the type and stage of arthritis.

Merlin had Tildren in July for his spavins and he has been sound ever since, no longer needs Danilon and is back to normal work

So far I he is concerned it was a resounding success.

Good luck if this is the way forward for you.
