Tilly has had 2 nights now in a large foalnig box but has boxwalked the whole time so this morning she was corralled out into the stallion pen they have where she promptly dropped & rolled for 10 mins before settling down & going to sleep. she can hear but not see any horses from this pen.
she now has a decent leather headcollar on her & whilst still doing a loony tune dance at the bac of stable if you go near it she is allowing Laura & Kay (who's yard she is at) to go in & be with her.

her wounds are looking a little better & hopefully if any then only the cut on her near fore will leave a scar, the rest are looking much cleaner & starting so show signs of healing.

laura will im sure be registering here soon as she thinks you are stars for your help & advice.

glad she's now in ! Sounds like you need to get her on a good calmer, and also put rescue remedy into her feed - six drops three times a day in a smallish feed.

Good luck - keep us posted sm x

Hi Aoibhinn,

Must have missed this one before. What's been happening?

a mates new horse was delivered early & left in feild with no headcollar on but a stable rug on last thursday. couldnt catch said beastie. then monday the silly mare went through a hedge & got trapped by her rug.

its been total chaos but for once it wasnt one of mine. lol

hows you brood liking the new place?

New location? They couldn't give a damn! They're all four together and seem perfectly well settled. It only took old Reine the one evening to figure out where to wait for her feed (which she has to have in a little corral separately from the others so they don't steal from her).
