Time to spray weeds

Would you say that now is a good time to spray weeds in the field? Or a bit later in the year?

Made my haylage about 3 weeks ago now, and remaining grass is quite stubby and short. Do I need to leave it (and weeds) grow a bit so I've got leaves of weeds for the spray to work?

You could spray with a cheap broad leaf weed spray, we use one for cereals, then spray with a more expensive grass spray in the spring which will have a better effect on the young weeds.

all depends on what weeds you have go to a equine shop and look on a back of a bottle is the best idea and see from there!
