I've decided the best thing i can do with the two ponies is sell. Hopefully someone will, love them and give them what they need and deserve. As i keep hitting brick walls! The last 11 months have been fun but full of unexpected trials and tribulations!

long story..bought a pony for me and the kids, had unexpected foal so moved grazing...Mare turned horrid kicked a few people one badly the other day. Can't put mare back on original field as its a public place...incase shes hurts someone else, (wanted to get them weaned so i can see if she turns nice again) Haven't got any company for the foal, once mum goes, only over electric fence. ahhhhhhh

Exactly what I was going to say. Put out an SOS on here - someone may be able to help you out.

Seems you are giving up far to easily. From what I rember from last couple of posts Mum over protective understandable are you not with your children, why do people expect animals to be differant. If she wont settle with foal over the overside of fence can you not find her somewhere else for a couple of weeks or the foal.

I will find it nearly impossible to tend to two horses in different locations, im struggling at the moment. I have two small children that have to come with me, and i work. Bitten off to much than i can chew, is the saying i think....

you would need to do the foal if you could find someone to take her for the winter to keep their own foal company. so you would just back to having the mare. i think you are giving up too easily.

You have obviously thought long and hard about this and on this basis I do'nt think you are giving up too easily. If you are not happy/confident with the pony and foal then yes you need to seek alternative homes for them, however, it MAY be possible for people to help you out on here, its been done before so don't give up hope yet. I can totally understand after yesterdays accident why you have come to this decision, after all this pony was bought for your children to ride as well. Try and keep your chin up xx
