Lately I have felt very uninspired to go riding. I have a fantastic horse who I wouldn't change for the World, however, lately, I cant see the point of going down to see him. My ex purchased him for me and helped me at times financially support him and I dont know, since we broke up, he kind of reminds me of him. I also purchased him when I was going through a rough period health wise and although I dont really have arthritis anymore, I did have a bad fall of him that did cause my arthritis to spread to one of my shoulders - this was a constant reminder when showjumping and I think I have lost my nerve a bit because of this.

At the same time, I really should be concentrating on my accountancy qualification which I have put to the side due to my riding. I am so confused as the extra money would be great at the moment but I know in a couple of months time, I may miss it? Is there anyway to get your riding mojo back? Or time to call it quits? :(

I take it from your post that your horse is on full livery somewhere as you seem not to have to see to him everyday? If so , how about putting him on loan , with him staying at his current yard so that you know exactly what's going on with him , this might make your mind up about him once and for all, either you'll miss the riding/horsey life or you won't and then you could make a decision about his future . Don't feel bad about losing interest , especially if you need to make commitments to your career prospects. If this is a case of ' right horse , wrong time , then loaning him could be the answer..good luck.
