Hey ho, after advertising my equine sale ( non descript so as not at upset management) I received a phone call, very interested person, seem to know what she is talking about and would like more details and more photos, good so far, emails exchanged and time spent chasing said equine around getting photos as requested, video attempted but not good enough to send, email sent with more pics of equine, relatives, breeding, competition record etc, good response - another telephone conversation, more questions again all reasonable; THEN the alarm bells start to ring, can we have the equine vetted, transported to new owner, what would be lowest possible price - AS SHE IS A LONE PARENT, WITH A CHILD THAT DOES NOT LIKE TO BE IN THE CAR, STRUGGLES FOR TRANSPORT, CANNOT ASK RELATIVES TO LOOK AFTER SAID CHILD AS SHE HAS TO WORK FULL TIME???? HOW THE HELL IS SHE GOING TO LOOK AFTER MY EQUINE??
So lady from Sheffield (allegedly), who has also contacted other people - who I know with similar animals, you are exposed, DON'T WASTE PEOPLES TIME, you give genuine potential buyers a bad name, get a life or a councellor.

I think that some people spend their time trying to think up ways of making their lives complicated! You only have to join any one of the Facebook groups to see that its a miracle that some people even manage to function on a basic level

Hopefully the next person will be a bit more normal (or at least 'horsey normal')
 
Dont know why people bother to waste their own time, let alone anyone elses. It's very annoying, to have gone to the bother of pics etc.... And It gives everone a bad name. I too, am a single mother, and I work, not full time, but non the less, it's a struggle to get everything done. But I wouldnt dream of taking on more than i can handle, hence selling my 2 three year olds, as I knew I wouldn't have enough time/money to feed all of us (3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 children, me and now down to two horses, but would have been 4). I hate people using the single mother card, If you are struggling then why the ****** would you buy another horse.
 
Thanks for your support, I had to get it off my chest. I too am a single parent and it drives me potty when people use it for an excuse or sympathy, especially to complete strangers; friends, family and other SP's will give all the support needed if and when.:)
 
Take a positive from it. The next serious enquiry you can email loads of photos to as you have already taken them. Think some people live in fantasy world & keep hearing how people are so desperate to sell they will virtually give horse away, hence to try for sympathy & asking for transport / lowest price. Good to find out before it went further albiet very annoying.
