I had someone come to look at my boy for share. He was giving a novice a lesson so she watched, obviously it showed he would do anything that is asked. I then rode him to show her a bit more. Then she rode him, well, I use the word "rode" very loosely.
Honestly, I couldnt help but interfere and move her legs / arms / everything. No reins. No stirrups, No posture. Needless to say it was a no go - I asked her if she would be prepared to pay for lessons on him to which she replied "he is lovely but I dont think we are the right match". I couldnt help reply "when answering adverts, you need to seek an ex-schoolmaster".
Do people think we are not going know that they cant ride? Honestly, she sounded really good from her "cv".

She was sat on him telling me "I have no balance" and "my canter is shocking". I think anyone wanting to protect their horse would interfere at that stage or ask them to get off!
PS When I said no reins / no stirrups I dont mean I took them off, I meant she didnt keep her hands or feet in or on them!

I had a girl ring up when i wanted someone to hack my old showjumping pony... who was a challenge at the best of times... and this was clearly stated in the advert, when she wrang the first 12 times i wasnt near the phone to answer but when i finaly sopke to her she had this C.V of riding experience.... at the age of 14... that i could only dream of! But jiggy soon sussed her out and she was on the floor within 2 minutes!

I recently put my mare out on loan and she was back within 3 months with her pelvis out of place and this was with someone i knew! Now looking for a new loanee but im being extra careful!
