Timothy Haylage

Does anyone know of anywhere I can get Timothy haylage from apart from Marksway? I currently use Horsehage at the moment but I'm using a bale a day and at £7.65 a bale that's over £200 a month on two horses!

Most other haylage I've found has got ryegrass in it which I want to avoid, I just want pure timothy. It doesn't have to be small bale, I can have larger bales as long as it's pure timothy.

Thorogoods do a Timothy haylage in both small and big bales, they're based in Essex so they may deliver to you if you can order enough. Not tried it myself just saw it somewhere and it caught my eye.

Otherwise I would post on Hertfordshire horseriders or Everything Equine Herts Beds and Bucks Facebook groups, a few local producers advertise on there and they may do a non branded one.

Another vote for Thorogoods if you are in their delivery area (and it would appear you are!)

I had their Timothy hay a couple of years back and it was fab!!

You also get it delivered to your door. Slight downside is the amount you have to order at once but you make great savings.

Thanks. I've ordered 25 small bales from Thorogoods and if it's ok then I'll order the larger sizes next time which obviously work out much cheaper. Thanks again.

I got some from Cole haylage I am not sure if it was Timothy but it was good stuff. They have a website, I saw the ad in H & H.
