These were taken this morning, looking a lot better than it did yesterday. She's in great form wagging her tail and lots of TLC. Lampshade makes hugs a bit difficult! She's only going out for short walks. Tess was scared of her to begin with but then went and gave her a kiss! Sorry the pictures are big, Photobucket is messing around.

Hard to get a pic of her as she kept following and coming over for hugs and kisses.

Straight on

Oh bless her, only just caught up with her story. Poor Tina, hugs from me and Ki, hope she feels better soon.

- what are the "sticky out" bits - is that the wadding?

And doing a very good job of draining it. Vet didn't mention any wadding being in it so I don't think there is. Drain will be removedon Wednesday morning. Goodness knows how I'll get her back into the vets.

Caitlin (who is 9 years old) Has been very gently keeping her lampshade and any parts of her face she can touch nice and clean.

She has a big tongue that's all the better to kiss with

Awww, poor girlie. I hope it all heals ok.

How will they go about removing the drain Cala?

[/ QUOTE ]

They normally just snip away the stitches and pull the drain out i think. Very quick! Good luck with her.

Will they restitch it? Vet never explained that bit! Problem is, she is now officially terrified of the vet.

While staying overnight after the surgery, she managed to pull part of the lampshade opened but got so stressed when the vet and the nurse (not at the same time) tried to go and fix it they had to leave it alone.

And how is the little Sophie, has she had her fixator removed?

She had to have her eye removed after developing glucoma. She has been blind in it for a few years anyway due to a cataract but due to the glucoma vet advised the kindest thing would be removal.

She looks very cheerful which is the main thing. If its anything like my old girl its a 2 minute job to remove the stitches and the drain. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.

She looks as though she will sail through the recovery from the operation. She may be a bit unsteady on her feet when she has to learn to just accept the visual images from one eye rather than both but she will soon get used to it.
