Well the temparature has finally dropped a few degrees to something a little more seasonal and so the challenge to keep warm for a days hunting begins!!

Just for fun can anyone reveal their most warming hip flask fillers!! I am hoping to put together a shopping list for santa.

I made my own strawberry vodka. Started it this time last year and it has taken ages to turn into anything drinkable. I've tried a few different types of fruit in it but the only thing it has taken the taste of is strawberries. It's really just "fruit" vodka but tastes of strawberries.

Very lovely, very warming.. and very strong! :D

Cherry vodka and blackberry vodka. My other half made peach whiskey this year - I'm not a whiskey drinker but he seems to come back with a lot less of it each time he shoots. He put a tin of canned peaches in a bottle of Grouse, and all the syrup. A bit of sugar helps if you like it sweeter. A tin and a half if you like the peach taste strong. He's also made blackberry and vanilla brandy, damson vodka, and sloe gin. Take your pick ;)

Sloe Gin in one pocket and Pure Whiskey in the other

The Whiskey like wearing a stock is an old hunting tradition. The Whiskey to pour over and cuts / wounds and the stock to wrap anything up or use as a tourniquet.
