When I got my horse, he had a four inch long bridle path in his mane. Personally I hate bridle paths and really wanted to get rid of it. However, every time it starts to grow, it sticks up and he looks like a punk with plaits in, so I just kept clipping it off!

I have decided to stick to my guns and grow it out this time. It is now about one inch long!

How long will it take to get to four inches long?

What can I do to stop him looking like a punk in the meantime?

It might be somewhere near by April/May. When it's long enough to plait, then leave it plaited in long plaits, and the weight of the plaits will help bring it over. So will wearing a hood of some sort. Also - rock hard gel!

Can you tell i've been there?

Good luck and LOCK THOSE CLIPPERS AWAY!
