One of the horses at our yard is still draining 10 days after having a hole cut. Are there any indian tricks for speeding up the process, the amount of drain isn't particularly high however it is constant...help

Thanks in advance

Is there a strong pulse in the fetlock? Sounds like the body is still producing puss in the foot, as a reaction to the bacteria that has got in there. Have they been flushing the hole with anything (hydrogen peroxide/hibiscrub?). If not I would try that. If it continues, and there is lameness, heat and a pulse I would contact the vet. They might give an anti-biotic, or want to xray, just to make sure that the infection hasn't got into the structure of the foot.

Agree with rubyslippers, but would also add wash the hole out with salt and garlic water, works well on most infections, can be syringed in with and irrigation syringe.
