Tips for showing a 15.2 Welsh cob please ie tack etc

For M&M showing you want fairly plain tack in dark brown. Bridle: if a novice you want a snaffle, if open you need a double or a pelham. Plain leather brownband and plain flat noseband. You need something that flatters the head so the exact width of the noseband depends on the conformation of the head but generally a flat, wide hunter style noseband.

In terms of a saddle you need something brown, discrete and fairly straight cut. Usually a show saddle (look at Ideal or Fylde) or a working hunter saddle. Nothing too forward cut as you want to show off the shoulder. Girth should be plain, probably leather. Numnah wise you can go for either nothing, a sticky limpet style pad that's hidden or a brown numnah with brown sheepskin style trim that just hugs the edge of the saddle.

If you go on some of the photographer websites like Equinational you'll be able to look at M&M classes at big county shows and see what they look like.

From reading the other thread on the go at the moment it seems it is also manatory to take along your own pack of Chavs. They should attend armed with rattling jars, bags to wave, sticks and stand at strategic points around the arena doing their best to wind your poor horse up.

Seriously though, good luck, apparently Welshie showing is more civilised in Scotland :D :D :D
