My 7 month collie has split one of his pads open on his paw, so now has to be kept calm and quiet until it heals!
Anyone got any tips on keeping a very active puppy quiet?!?
I have a kong already, that he loves, and his usual toys around the house, but I don't think they are going to be enough.
Thanks

stuff the kong with biscuits.that always keeps my dogs quiet. You could also try excercising his brain by trying a bit of scent training.

Get some really smelly food and hide it under one up turned bowl and put one next to it. You can eventually up the number of bowls. It works wonders and knackers them out without running them of their feet

Cool, thanks. I'll try giving the scent training a go.
Already have biscuits ready for the kong, and that keeps him pretty occupied, but he does get bored after a while.

Hi my pup did this too on glass we think and we were told by vet friend to put antibiotic cream on and bandage it up mainly to keep it clean and give it chance to heal. We put cotton wool between his toes, a bit of padding, like you would with a horse, sticky tape and coverred it all in duck tape to keep it waterproof. He then could carry on as normal and it healed in no time. He did keep ripping off the bandage though

Ditto, with a good thick bandage, he can atleast be half his lively self, u will be lucky to keep a 7 month colli quiet, good padding and bandage technique, works wonders and helps heel quicker
