going out for first dressage since having my baby tomorrow !!. is only walk and trot and very low key but got to start somewhere, I've really struggled with time as back at work full time as well so very little riding time now, used to ride 4-5 x/week but only manageing 2x gentle hacking now, feel guilty about not doing enough with my horse although he seems very happy with the new arrangement. I can't and wouldn't sell him as bought him with a veiw to home for life. Taking him out tomorrow just for a change of scenery and a bit of an outing really, had to borrow kit as too fat for show stuff post baby !! No huge point to my post other than wondering how other people do it, and sharing my excitement / anxiety about tomorrow !

presision planning & lots of very good friends to watch kids/help with the monsters/drive.

its got a lot harder now i have 3 under 4 but we seem to have it cracked, mornings i pop down & check them & waters (they live out) then eves when OH gets home he has a quality hour with the kids & puts them to bed whilst i go & check, exersize & feed (2 hours approx per eve) weekends are shared out & we all go to shows as the kids love it.

I have two year old boy, horse and run my own company. OK so it's my company which means my hours are complttly (or almost completly) flexible. I get up, work for a bit, get son up, breakfast, horse and ride (DVD player in car next to menage, has been doing this since a baby and really dosn't mind it, in fact sometimes he tries to get back in the car to watch his film after I've got him out!!). Lunch, Work (son at nursery 3 afternoons a week, other than that, we just get on with things the best we can). Tea, frined does horse in evening or I sometimes go down later on for a natter, or sometimes I work the evening. Hacking is scarce as OH works weekends. Competitoins are by prior arrangement! Just started competing at Novice level dressage so all in all, very busy, not a moment to lose but love it.
