Have sold my lorry which was resprayed last year - want to remove the branding which is on it (for the new owners' benefit). Any tips? It will scratch off with my thumb nail but this is a bit tedious!

You could try using a hairdryer on them which should soften the glue underneath and then they should peel off.....

Hi

After all the vinyl is off try WD40 or one of the available "sticky stuff removers" to get rid of any remaining glue residue.

Depending on the size of the area you've got to deal with this may be just as tedious as the hot air gun process...:)

And then if you're really keen you can polish it as the paint will have "weathered" differently under the "sticker" areas-if not, leave that task for the next owner!

I asked for vinyl decals to be put on mine, the firm just came and did it without me seeing the final design whilst I was at work, I didnt know they were coming so it was a total shock when I got to the yard after work. It was awful
I told them it had to come off and was so worried the paint would be damaged. They came and peeled it off, it was a sunny day and the heat made it easier. They did say they used heat ie a hairdryer to remove but if they have been on a long time the paint can fade so when the decals are removed, those areas that were covered can look darker.
