Tips to plait the unplaitable tail

Lol, well its not That bad, but would love your general tips on tail plaiting and any products that help.
I damp the tail down and use a small amt of wet hair gel, then plait and finish off with needle, thread then elastic to hold. Mainly the bit at the top I need to look as neat as poss!

not much help am afraid but im going to try to plait my daughters pony who has sweet itch on sunday, armed with 2 multi coulered hair pieces and loads of pink robbon mmmmmmm daughters choice, good job its only for lead rein jumping

Dont bother, pull it instead

Looks far better, is easiere to do and doesnt drop out on show day!

Yes, pull it - plaiting is extremely outdated and looks horrible. A nice pulled tail is the way forward.
