Tips to thicken up manes/tails?

My mare is a welsh a so you would expect nice thick and strong manes/tail but nope we have something that a thoroughbred would be proud of most of the time
She does wear neck covers but her mane is the same now as it was in the summer so I don't think that is effecting it, it just doesn't grow! Ive never pulled/trimmed her mane and it's stayed the same length for 3 years

Exercise stimulates, iv heard pig oil and sulphur helps too. Surprisingly, you can buy extensions and hair pieces for horses these days, just clip qmd go lol!

I had a thoroughbred with a very thin tail so used Megatek Rebuilder from Horse Health, it worked a treat and reading the bottle it is also meant to work on rug rubs etc. Smells lovely too!

Pig oil and sulphur is by far the cheapest and easiest way to get hair growing, and fast. I oil Shy up legs, mane and tail, and he is really looking good (mane nearly 3 foot now).

Shapleys MTG is reputed to aid hair growth.
No idea whether it works or not.
