tips wanted for getting rid of that loose hair fast!!!

I have a shedding blade and tend to (if you can bear it) leave them rugless so they can roll some of it off themselves

plastic 'jelly' comb for sensitive bits and defo leave to roll around - supposed to be good weather this week.
And if they get filthy, a bath and a going over with a sweat scraper also helps!

Shedding blade every time. You really would think when you have stood there for 20 minutes using it that all the winter coat would be gone. But no............................

LOL - I know...... you'd have thought my yearling had lost half her body weight and been bald after grooming her this morning, but no..... tragically still hairy

clip!!!! i've been tempted to clip my japanese spitz when i get sick of hair on the floor, but i would never do it! lol!! plus i think my mare would run away very fast at the sight of clippers, have been told she hates it!!

Agree with others leave rugs off, shedding blade and I also use a massage comb thingy (technical term!) as it gets quite a bit out and my horse enjoys it.

Yep, shedding blade definately...very cathartic to use too, I almost get disappointed when the summer coat arrives

and the shedding blade is relegated back to the grooming box lol

Will try again tonight!

The Furminator is pretty good, it's much less effort than scraping with a shedding blade

and gets more of the coat out, in one go than anything else I've used. It's great for long haired cats and dogs too, which is what I orginally brought mine for
