I got my one fitted yesterday and was so impressed with the saddle fitter. She spent an hour with us watching how she moves and giving me a few ideas. Off with the martingale, change of the bit. she was in pain, not being naughty. (Yes I know evil Mummy, I do feel terrible, but I had had the last one fitted too, twice over infact). I only plodded round yesterday.

Today I went up early and we really rode! OMG what a difference in my horse! I can honestly say I was shocked at how well she bends, how naturally she'll carry herself. She was truely amazing. I'm so pleased, and so is my bum for that matter I've never sat on anything so comfortable.

So thankyou to boletlecoblet for the saddle, I think apart from my beautiful neds it is the best thing I've ever owned!!!

Sounds interesting, how do you find your position in the saddle? Do you feel in balence? Also did you get the company to come out and fit or was it one of their dealers? Sorry for all the questions, but maybe I have been hiding under a rock as I dont know this company. Is it web page

That's the one Oldmare! BRILLIANT saddles IMHO!!! I've had both one of their dealers out and someone who works directly for them!
 
My position is a hell of a lot better in this saddle compared to the other saddles i have had. The good thing is also is that i will always be able to change the saddle to the shape of my horse and because he changes shape all the time it was costing a fortune in saddles as they just weren't fitting. With this we have a lady that comes out and measures the horse and changes the saddle shape with the machine and re-fits it to his specific shape which is excellent. Yep that's the right web page for them too.

Thanks! But - typical - there is not a single dealer for about 80 miles (Kent is about the only county not listed!)

Call them up and they will do their utmost to help you out!! The lady that fitted my saddle came from Portsmouth - I was in Cornwall at the time!!!!!!!!

My close contact jump is a saddle co and I LOVE it!!

G is off the chart wide wide wide, but their template system means it wasn't silly money to get him a M2M.

Also I couldn't have had a full leather jump, as his scapular is too big. The synthetic underneath gives to allow his shoulder

That was one of the problems i was having with my horse was with his shoulders and with other saddles he was unable to use his shoulders properly but with this saddle he moves totally differently and i can actually move with him now.

Oh dear not another saddle then LOL

Another fan here!!
Had one fitted for my daughters pony. Previous saddles moved forwards, back and to the side as she has huge shoulders, no withers and a high croup. SCS doesn't move an inch, pony is comfortable, daughters is safe.
 
Georgie hated his and TBH I wasnt overlly impressed. Dave made us a gp to measure - it perched on Georgie and when I attempted to ride in it Georige objected by bucking - this horse never bucks.
Have to say though Dave was great though and said that quite clearly Georgie disliked the saddle and took it away.
 
I suppose it depends on the horse and how they feel in it - personally it is the best saddle i have ever had and will definately recommend the company to anyone

Oldmare - give Cobwebs a call in Haywards Heath. They will come out to you in Kent to fit a Saddle Company Saddle 01444 417517 and the are really helpful. They are out and about all over sussex and kent with feed deliveries and rug collections so I am sure they will be able to get to you. Let them know I suggested them - Jacqui dobson
 
Bosworth - any sign of anyone in Ireland taking them on? Tried very hard to get Goodwins to get one in for me but no joy.....would you let me know if anyone is coming over her again this year as would love to get one for Sid
 
ive never heard of them, but my horse has a flat back and no withers to speak of, do you think they would have something suitable?
