to help in a little research for me, could you tell why you use Weatherbeeta and what you like about them?
Very vague I know but it would be a great help for me

Thanks x

Decent quality for price and they tend to fit my horses (they are quite deep). I don't like the hind limb strap clips - they get packed full of mud and then don't work!

I LOVE them. they're more roomy round the chest than many and i don't think you can beat what you get for your money. they're not expensive but are really good quality and dry quickly ~(plus they have lots cheap on equestrian clearance, even better :-)!)

I love them! Mine never slips or leaks and has just cleaned up really nicely after the winter, and it fits my TBxWB really nicely, definately worth the money and I would recommend them any day :)

Why - Because its the only rug at the time I found it a 7'9.

Now It doesn't fit around the chest.

Price range isn't bad, styles are good.

Wont buy another other make of rug. A six foot rug fits both my chunku 14.3hh irish cob and my 15.2hh warmblood eventer. Excellent value for money, keeps the horses dry and they dont move around and the neck seems to fit really well.

Good fit for natives, dry quick, generous length, quality fastenings, not too heavy when wet, nice shiny lining, never rub, don't tear easily, great value for money.

Totally agree with all this, suit my chunky native just fine, all my rugs are Weatherbeeta apart from one real heavy weight Premier Equine.

I don't own any other brand of rug. They are very reliable and *touch wood* pretty rip proof. My pony has a set ranging from LW to HW combos all in blue all matching weathebeetas. Although I would like it if they would make another colour!! We like pink best :)

Ditto everyone else re the fit on chunky natives.

I also like the fact that the leg straps aren't fixed - you can remove them and just use one as fillet strap (I hate leg straps), whereas on some other makes the leg straps are stiched into the rug so you don't have that option.

Very much like the cut and fit. They don't move around when tested to their limits!! Also like the removable leg straps as I hate them so take them off and use one as a fillet string. Also love the wrap around tail flap on the freestyle. And they're excellent value for money.

Price, quality, good fit (14.1 l/w cob), don't slip. And they last - being out with 11 other geldings my pony's rug gets grabbed a lot but the tears are tiny and few and easy to get patched which says something about the integrity of the rug. I bought a Weatherbeeta rug sack 6 years ago which had m/w turnout, fleece and stable rug in it for just under £100 which was great for a new horse owner and all 3 still going strong and clean up beautifully. Since then bought one other m/w Masta and a l/w Weatherbeeta turnout. Would always buy Weatherbeeta now as the rugs last for years.

I have a heavyweight weatherbeeta rug and I like it because it is warm and light to handle and has tummy wrap. However I don't find it is a great fit on thoroughbreds around the front, sits too low. Sure it is probably better on more chunky wider chested horse. It is also very silly colour - light grey and sort of reddish. Doesn't look those colours anymore but hopefully rug wash will return it to former glory!

I didn't set out to buy Weathebeetas - I was looking for a turnout and a fly rug and they were what the tack shop pulled out from the racks ... They are very very good quality rugs, although I got 6'9" ones at the recommendation of the tack shop staff - and they are too big for m'lad. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy Weathebeeta again, but I've no complaints about the ones I've got, the fly rug was used as a lightweight stable rug last summer (I didn't have anything else at the time) and got covered in ****, but when I washed it, it came up like new.

They are well priced, good quality and fit my chunky cob really well.

I second that justjasper :)

I have 4 weatherbeeta rugs (2 MW Landa 1 LW Landa and 1 HW detachaneck which is superb) and I cannot fault them for the money.

The first one I bought is a bit stiff to undo the tummy straps, but its not too bad. I think they're very good.

I have tons of them as they used to be good value for money and fitted well. However now they're just rocketing in price so won't be getting any more (that, and I already have enough rugs for 10 horses :o).

Same as everyone else really! Have used them for years on various horses (all on the chunky side) and have never been disappointed with the fit, the price or the longevity of the rugs! :D

Apart from the last one i brought - i love the fit, the depth, the filling etc - i dislike the hard rubber things they have been using over the last few years. I always just brought them and never tried them until i needed them...will not do that again - last one i brought was ridiculas in the neck -length, dept of body fine - but you could have fitted a clyedsdale and a shire in the neck! and mine was for a scrawny tb!

I usually buy mark todd but my second choice is weatherbeeta. My mare actually came with a weatherbeeta HW turnout but I love it and its lasted well through two winters while i've had her. I bought their HW stable rug too which is nice and roomie. The price is quite good and quality.
