Hate to say it but why get so drunk you can't remember what you are doing with a horse dealer you don't know.
Sounds like she went too far and couldn't admit the truth to her husband.

It is quite normal to look at horses for sale at anytime day or night when you are in Ireland so maybe her situation was not too strange to her

Except they weren't in Ireland, they were here in good old blighty where it would be considered unusual to view and try a horse after dark with a drunk dealer and a bottle of wine in hand.

No to be fair we used to go to pub afterwards to haggle over the price but maybe the lady had experience of horse dealers from Ireland & did not think the situation unusual

hmm, now all me cynical - but says the woman is married......not sure my husband would be happy about me taking a bottle of wine round to a blokes house to discuss a horse!!! The rape story would certainly play out a lot better to the husband than consentual! And if she was driving then why would she take wine for herself anyway??!!

Rape is rape no matter how drunk the victim is and if she was raped she has all my sympathies.
However its very odd that she'd drive round to have a drink with a near stranger when she has a husband at home, that says to me she planned to stay, or she going to leave her car there and get a taxi home?? Plain odd if you ask me.
