I was quoted 5000 to take a horse from UK to Hong Kong by plane included quarantine and vet checks at both ends, so I'm sure it would be a lot less than that! Lorry from Spain to UK was about 700 pounds and takes 4-5 days depending on the other stops they may along the way.

I've used John Parker and they are excellent. LOC are also well-respected and I'm sure others can recommend various European transport companies. You can find either through google and they tend to be very helpful :)
