Any help or advice needed; my mother wants to go hunting with me but keeps finding excuses. I'm worried that if she doesn't get on with it before the end of the season she'll give up on the job completely!

She is fit and able and in her mid 50s, her horse is a super safe cob. Two years ago she got herself a new black jacket for hunting and brand new boots. I saw this as an incling that she was coming out for at least a few days in the season however, the jacket has been out for two seasons without her (thanks mum!). She has lots of friends who go and she sees them, as a footy, and makes up no end of excuses as to why she isn't mounted.

Both her and the horse are getting stuffier and stuffier and need a good days hunting, how do i get her to go?? or do i leave it up to her?? Or do I take her cob and her jacket and show her the good time she could be having??

Thanks all

Take the horse and jackect and go for a good spin, if your mum wants to go she will in her own time but for now you can show her what she is missing ! wish i could hunt with my mum but she is scared of horses haha so i have no chance.
good luck

Ahh bless. I agree - take the jacket and the coblet and have a fun outing. That might encourage her to give it a whirl. And maybe try to get to the bottom of why she's not. But if it's not her thing, I would leave it at that, isn't everyone's cuppa and as long as she's happy, it's no biggy. :)

Who do you hunt with? I am aiming to hunt again so I can hunt with my Daughter. Wont be until next season though, if you are close enough could go for it together!
