....that is the question!

What do you think, should I hog Miss Patches? Do you think she could pull off the bald look?

I am firmly in the "can't decide camp" I'm afraid but I have to second Mightys_Mum's opinion and say that Patches is really lovely. You seem to have some super hacking round the farm too and I'm jealous!

I hogged my mare when i first got her but then decided to let it grow out and i'm SO glad i did. You do have to go through the bog brush stage when it's really tempting just to hog it again but i thought she looked quite cute. She now has a very beautiful thick mane which is lovely and great to brush!!! xxxx

I think she looks nice with her mane. I'm having the same dilemma with Chex (again!). I hogged him last year, but didn't like it so its growing in, now looks like this:

But its such a mess that I'm thinking about hogging it again

. Its definitely seems to have grown in thicker and doesn't stay to one side anymore. And half of it has barely grown in at all

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessss!!! LOL!

She will look gorgeous. I used to hate hogged horses, until I had one who was already hogged when I had him - and i love them now!
She will look so smart and lovely.

I couldnt actually get on Charlie when i hogged him.... suprising how much i relied on that little bit of mane! She would look smart though. Charlie looked great.

Absolutely NO NO NO! her face is to pretty, unless you have a show cob it looks awful, horrible for them in the summer with no protection from the flies, and no mane to grab in an emergency!

Ditto ^^^^

C, I came into this thread a bit late, but was about to join the 'no' camp. Then I saw the after pics of her.

She looks AWESOME!
I'm actually suprised at the result, but it really really suits her, and she looks a million times nicer hogged.

She looks stunning. Much better than before, she has a good neck and it shows it off better.

My mare used to be hogged, but when i started doing affiliated dressage i thought i would grow it, it is now normal length again, but it is the biggest pain having to plait it, its thick and she wont let me pull it, so the plaits are like tennis balls.

It was much easier when hogged and she always looked smart!

Crumbs!!

I was planning on voting "no", but I am sooooo glad I didn't! She looks absolutely stunning hogged.
