If you can sell if privately you are likely to get the best price for it. However if you want quick and easy then part exchange.

I would try and sell it privately and if no luck part exchange.

Sell privately if possible, you'll get a much better price. Then you can go for your next saddle with cash & probably negociate a bit of discount. A dealer will give you a lower price on your part ex because they will be looking to sell it on for a profit.

If you wait about another month-six weeks you'll probably get a better price as people will be looking for saddles for the new season.

Hmmmm. I'd say part ex TBH.

I've got 2 saddles I just can't shift privately. Both in really good nearly new condition, half the cost they'd be new, stuck with them! Have been trying to sell them for months!

Am giving in and maybe selling one to a saddlery just to get it gone so I can buy some other stuff (WHP one), the GP I may keep for 4 years time when I have a foal to back, can part ex it then if necessary, but no point selling it now for a huge loss only to have to pay out a fortune for a new one... long time to keep it but hey!
