Hi, I'm going showjumping this weekend as part of a team for my school. I'm not sure whether to plait him or not because I wouldn't normally for sj but it's a team competition. I don't know what other people have decided to do either. Also, he'd rubbed out a section of his mane which I could create a false plait for but do you think he would look better with it just left unplaited?

Thank you!

personally Id plait, and make a false plait for the gap.

Ask the other people on the team what they plan to do?

i'd go with however the horse is usually jumped in.

out of interest, mine has done the same and ive got dressage at the end of the month - how on earth do you make a false plait?

When I did schools SJ I always plaited, but that was more because I always do, and I was representing my school, so didn't want to look scruffy.

However, most other people doing it didn't, but generally had very neat pulled manes.

hope that helps!

I personally feel underdressed if the horse isn't plaited. I think it's good for prepping a horse into 'show mode' too.

But whats a false plait?
