To plait or not to plait...that is the question!

We are going to a show on Sunday, where my OH has entered in hand M&M, and in hand riding pony. We have 1 class inbetween them. Obviously M&M is unplaited, riding pony is supossed to be plaited, although the secretary that we have had correspondance from has said its not the end of the world if he is not. So, do i plait, and maybe loose marks because I have had to rush it so prob wont look as good as it could, or leave natural and loose marks because turnout is not correct?

I would plait, even with bands, surely it can't take more than 20 minutes to whack some plaits in a wee pony?

But I will also have to do his tail I guess, and his forelock? i find plaiting quite fiddly, I want to do it, but think its gonna look a mess.

Don't bother! I was in an inhand riding pony class with a welsh a the other week and they didn't plait. He pulled in second and looked very smart! (after us might I add )

I can plait pretty quickly so I would put some in between classes. If not, I'd just leave natural.

At most of our local shows people with M&Ms stay unplaitted all day for all classes. I'm always very envious!
