to pull or not to pull...

Will pulling make a short thick neck look longer? Or will a nice long mane give a more feminine look? katies looking a bit butch and hairy so the questions is, to pull or not to pull?

I'm a fan of pulling manes, but mine are quite long necked horses, so it makes their neck look bigger the shorter their mane is. I don't know about making it look longer though..

Maybe a bit of trimming of fetlocks etc could make a difference?

Depends on how the mane sits. My bay horse has a short thick neck but does look better with his mane pulled as otherwise it tends to stick straight up in the air, giving the impression of an even thicker neck!
Does she look better plaited? if so then pull!

Unless you need to keep the mane long for showing then the answer from me will always be PULL!
