As above really! Is it worth spending out on advertsing in the current economic climate, or sitting it out through the winter in the hope that the market picks up early next year. The horse in question is a 13yr old cob allrounder, who also hunts, and would be priced realistically.
What do you guys think?

It's not going to hurt putting a few ad's up, I'd give it a go if I were you. Judging from some of the posts in the last few days there is definately a market for buying at the moment.

Personally I'd sell now, otherwise your adding cost through the winter and the cob will be another year older...if you see what I mean, if he's good little hunter, fit and ready for the season, I'd try your luck now.

Sell now - I sold my horse on Saturday to the first people that came to see him - he was advertised 3 days!!

Selling now means your horse won't be a year older (and therefore less on value) and will
cost you through winter!

Remember this - good horses will always sell!

Have done so Chellebean - where does that name come from?!

He is an ex BS pony, and Sec d cob, so although very safe, not the 'ploddy' type cob you are all imagining!

Think I will just bite the bullet and pop him in the local paper plus Horsemart and just see what happens - if no response I won't push it but will wait until Spring and try again. He has a scar from an old hunting injury and a sarcoid on his sheath so am thinking around the £2000 mark - what do you guys think on that? (hope this doesn't get pulled by admin but genuinely have no idea of what to price him).

Thanks all!
