Situation-
Its about a saddle and a horse.
Im afraid its a long one :/
Im giving up my loan horse as my own mare is coming back in to work
Couldnt be happier about it, but realistically, wont be riding for a good few months. I need to do lots of ground work to try and build her up a little bit first.
So, the new boy is either to be loanerd or sold. His owner cant decide which to do. Shes loaning him now as she has 2 small children and is trying for another. Does she loan him again, risk something happening again and having to have him back, she does not have the funds at all to even keep him for a month, but hes her one in a million, shes nursed him back from the brink and made him the super horse he is today. Or does she sell him on to a good homw, get a huge bank balance but risk not seeing him again?
And my problem is the saddle. I bought him a brand new synthetic saddle. Its a TG T8, so its a lovely lovely saddle. I bought it for a good price and it fits him a treat. However, my mare is a very similar shape to loan horse, and the saddle is her length with a changeable gullet. Do i sell the saddle with the horse or keep it for my mare? If i sell it, chances are i wont get as nice a saddle again for the mare, as i really did strike it lucky. But id have one thats fitted to her, rather than loan horse. Though im 99% sure it will fit her. Thouse TG saddles fit anything...and she used to be ridden previous model of the saddle before she was out of work, so dimensions cant have changed that much.
What would you do?
Thanks, tea and cake for anyone that makes it all the way through. I only have Earl grey and carrot cake though
