Thank you for blasting past me on my ex-racer with neither of you bothering even to take your foot off the gas.

I was wearing a ton of hi-viz, as was o/h who was on his bike in front of me.

There are enough posts on here moaning about drivers not slowing down for horses, so it's a bit rich when we can't even be bothered to slow down for each other. And yes, o/h & I thank every single car which slows down for us.

Luckily it made no difference as Trev is a cool dude & is used to meeting complete t**ts on the road, but for goodness sake! You two really ought to know better.

The very ones who should know better acting like that is pretty low in my opinion. I wonder if they ever have to ride on a road!

I have found horsey people to be some of the worst. - Oh, I know xxxx is traffic proof so just squeeze past, or go faster than would if it was a strange horse :(

Glad your horse is such a good lad to not mind but..... grrrrrrr.

it's bad isn't it :(.

I had a PC dad try and push me over on a motorway bridge this summer, it only has short barriers so I like to give myself a bit of space and most people are only too happy to wait while we negotiate it, not him though :(. Was very thankful we didn't have Mum's horse with us who is a bit traffic shy with trailers/lorries (tho motorway bridges fine).

That happened to me twice, the lane I used to keep my horse on is very windy with lots of blind bends. I heard this car coming at speed but couldn't see it, I really had no where to go just had to wait. She came around the corner slammed on her brakes, turned out the driver was a groom from the racing yard opposite my yard. She shut her window waiting for the abuse, I just shook my head. Then a little bit further along I could see a 4x4 and horse trailer coming above the hedges, also at speed, same again slammed on their brakes. I was very shaken up horse was a star. Bloody idiots that should know better.

I find sometimes horsey people are the worst. If their own horses are bombproof in traffic they expect every other horse to be 100% too. (Luckily mine is good in traffic but others aren't!!!)
Agree!! My mare doesnt appreciate cars speeding towards us (from behind shes not fussed!!) so I slow for any horse (then curse to myself when no thankyou!) Narrow lane i'm down is all horsey yards but people still tank up n down  why can't fate help out & get the 'speeders' to crash into each other instead of innocent folk?!?!
