Hi Bit of advice please :

Recommendations for hat cam if you have used one. Hacking or doing an event.

Also how do you use them for example turning on and off while riding if you dont want to tape the whole hack or event. Also if you find it simple or a bit of a fiddle.

The budget I have been given is up to £200 pounds and it is a gift for a riding club member so a joint venture between some members but I have the task of doing the research.

I have looked on line but to be honest got a bit stressed at all the choice and not sure what would be best value for the money I have so any help would be appriciated.

Thanks in advance.

I did this one with a cheap one from Maplins.

took a bit of practice positioning on my hat as there is no screen to see what you have taped until you get it home and connect to PC, so my first attempt was lots of sky etc, add on the price of a 32gig memory card at £50.00 and batteries.
I have to sticky tape the battery cover on as it comes off a bit easy.

It makes a beep when you switch it on and off to record, problem is you don't always know which is which, hence my clip only has about 8 of the jumps out of 15, it beeped and I thought it had switched off, hence I pressed the button and actually switched it off unintentionally

Anyway, if your going to be doing it as a regular thing, get a better quality one with a built in screen, if it's only for now and again it's fine when you learn where to position it, but do sticky tape cover on.

This was only my fourth attempt so I would expect to improve slightly.

I would say it's ok for occaisional use.
