I started a thread earlier about walking my pony in hand on the road. Someone commented about insurance and if my public liability would pay out if he wasn't wearing a bridle.

I have rung them to check and KBIS do not have any exclusions on being on the road without a bridle. A headcollar or halter are fine. This is on the Leisure Horse policy.

Thanks

Thanks for that; I've found KBIS to be very realistic and practical, their reply doesn't surprise me TBH - but at the same time, other than moving horses just ten yards down a very quiet lane, there is no way that I would walk anything on the road without a bridle for both theirs and my own safety, it's stupidity to do otherwise with traffic as it is today.
