Please excuse her size, this is the day i got her. She was unbroken and just a little "cough" over weight.
Untrimmed.

Some people say i should let her mane grow and keep her feathers, personally o don't think she is heavy enough for the flowing mane look?

Thank you justabob, her mane is currently shorter than in the second picture so is her tail.
But i confess that i cut her mane, i tried using a solo comb but as her mane is just so thick the blade was blunt doing just half of it

Yes but I wouldn't use scissors, I would pull it if she will tolerate it, if not use a razor blade comb (not a solo comb).

She is a really nice mare I like her.

I haven't heard of a razor blade comb. I deteste pulling, friends have offered til they actually see the thickness of her mane then withdrawl the offer lol! She also isn't keen having it pulled and i'm not willing to twitch her.

Thank you for your nice comments.

Used to buy them in boots but I don't see them now. They were better as both sides were used but this might be stronger.

You hold a chunk of mane in your left hand and sort of scrape it down the chunk with your right at the length you want it to be. It creates a nice feathered edge and looks like its been properly pulled.

It's very satisfying. I have three with traditionally long manes now so can't have that satisfaction hit now :D
