I've had my little poodle a few weeks now and so far everything is good. He is barking less at other people and I now let him loose in the house during the day. He does sometimes have manic barking sessions, he doesn't do it when I'm in the house and I think he does suffer from seperation anxiety (although I can leave him in the car when I am at the yard and he hardly makes a noise). So I was thinking of getting one of those diffuser things to see if that will help him keep calm, don't know if anyone can offer some advice on that.

I have started to take him out with my friend's pack, the terrier, greyhound and BC. He loves it and has slotted into the pack really well. So atleast we can go for big walks off the lead. We did have a blip today when we went walking on the racecourse when he decided he wanted to play with another dog he'd just met and not come with us. But he was fine when I went back to get him so it didn't worry me too much. He ran and ran for about an hour so is now fast asleep.

Got lots of really nice compliments on him from the dog walkers we met, although everyone thinks he is puppy as he is quite small.

I'm so pleased I have taken on an older dog needing a home rather than go through all the stress of having a puppy. When I finish my foaling duties we shall sign up for obedience training and then agility when the time comes. Am also going to look for dog walking mornings, they do this up where my mum is and I'd like to keep him socialising with other dogs as much as possible.
