I don’t think he’ll ever get over that race with Energume. (Spelling!). He just looked far from what he was last year.

I only watched the Many Clouds chase on my phone whilst clipping today. AS is fine he is just an idiot. No amount of schooling at home has toned him down a bit at the start of a race ? when he jumps well he jumps really well. When he doesn't he is a complete moron ?

I was really surprised at Noble Yeats turn of foot! He is a staying handicapper - or he was last year! That was impressive! Will he win a Gold Cup? For me no. Whilst he will keep on galloping all day long I doubt he will have the speed to keep up in the GC.

Do you think he will need cheekpieces or something or would they make him worse? He must be so hard to predict

The Wilson's poor horses... Why are the authorities allowing them to be flogged didn't realise Red Happy was only 5...

No head gear will probably make him keener and more revvy. Its excitement and pent up engery he is expending being an idiot.

Quite a few people are now questioning the running if those certain owners horses. I really do hope the BHA look into it but I can't see it happening any time soon. As I said all horses are looked over by BHA vets and staff every time they enter and leave the stable yard as well as in the paddock. If they looked bad, rough or ill it would be picked up on. The poor things must just be exhausted.

Red happy is entered again next week and then believe it or not, he’s entered in the King George !

Dear goodness poor horse, only 5 years old, can't be doing his long term future much good.

The approach just seems to be put blinkers on and run them repeatedly, although I don't think his other horses run as much.

I can see more people are starting to question it and I think DP even responded to one saying he doesn't do much at home....

It's not like they're sprint races. He's also clearly struggling as his results are tailing off. Given the owners history of having no hopers in big races no chance he misses the king George

Surely the BHA need to step in and enforce a break on the horse?

After a long day at Aintree yesterday I'm looking forward to watching it from the sofa - the Royal Bond and Drinmore should be good too. Providing the work phone stays quiet ?. Much as I'd love to see one of ours win the HG, I don't want to see Honeysuckle beaten. So I'll take a dead heat! ?

Your winner at Sandown was impressive!

Can I ask you what the stable are saying about Facile Vega ? In a yard full of stars, does he stand out ?

Well Honeysuckle! Such a shame.
I wonder if all well with HDB’s horses? ( I don’t really follow Irish racing).
No, the stable is out of form, horrible ground, horrible weather and her first race. If she was ever going to be beaten it was today, I hope that’s not the end of the road for her and we see her winning again.

To be fair to them, they've had an awful year as a family

I don’t think Bonny or I were blaming him at all, just saying his horses aren’t running well. It happens to the best of them. Of which HDB is one.
Of course there’s no blame involved. Stable form comes and goes often for reasons that no one knows, it just happens. Gordon Elliot can do no wrong just now and he’s winning a lot of the races, come next year that could all change.

She wasn't beaten far and it was only really the last 25-30 yards she was truly passed. The HG is 2m3f. The Champion Hurdle is 2m. So the extra few furlongs on minginh ground told. It's a shame she was beaten but all the greats have to beaten at some point. She won't be retired until the end of the season. Kenny is a racing and gambling man. He won't back down from the CH fight. He will relish it. And once Cheltenham is over, and maybe Punchestown she will head to stud to be covered then come to Ayrshire where I promise I will post lots of pics of her when we take the boys there for their summer holidays!

GB - yes Rocky was awesome wasn't he! His first chase was scary, his 2nd was good but there is always the worry of them getting the railway fences and he got them spot on! A very exciting wee horse! As a bonus the guys who produced him for his ptp were at Sandown selling another after racing on Saturday so they were delighted to be able to be there to see him win and win so well.

Noble Yeats was rocket propelled at the finish. But Gold Cup at Cheltenham? That horrid uphill finish, and all the ups and downs around the course, i'ts not a flat course like Aintree.

I wonder if he will run in the King George?

It was a shame that Honeysuckle was beaten, but the ground looked nasty. I remember thinking when she won at Cheltenham that I had never seen a racehorse look so fit and well.
