Several years ago I owned a cracking little cob, Pentrepiod Casey or Tally to his friends. We had fun together and lots of laughs and tears. Inevitabley I grew up and met a boy and joined the world of the grown ups. It came at a cost. Tally had to go as we needed a deposit for a house.
On the day I loaded him up to be sent to a friends yard to be sold on I promised him that no matter what one day I would bring him home.
For the last five years I have been searching for my friend so as I could keep my promise and bring him home.
I got an email today from someone who knew his owner. My promise is broken, I will not be bringing him home.
He was pts in June due to severe laminitis.
The tears are runing down my face as I write this, and I even feel a bit guilty as I dont recall feeling like this when my horse of a lifetime CB was pts at the grand old age of 30! Maybe because I knew CB was at his end??
Sorry to witter on but its come as such a shock.
RIP PENTREPIOD CASEY.....Tally to his friends
