Today in the freezing cold, I was finishing the last of the shopping, came out of the shopping centre & the Big Issue seller was there, he had an inadequate coat on but was still trying to be cheerful, bought my Big Issue, then went over to Starbucks & got him a big hot chocolate, took it to him & wished him Merry Christmas. It really made me think about how we take for granted having a nice home, hot water, nice food & all that. This isn't meant to be some santimonious post about how "caring" I am, but I'm happy I may have cheered up his day a little.

Thats so nice to hear. Well done you! :) Thats more like the Real meaning of Christmas.

Note to Self:-Its not about stuffing myself silly with turkey, choccy, wine (ahem)

Merry Christmas everyone.

xx:)

Good for you. That's a really lovely thing to do.

No doubt some day in the future, when that Big Issue seller is having better times, he will see someone shivering outside in the cold and do a similar thing for them. Kindness paid forward rather than paid back.

Not kinda then same as such but my brother was out on the front line in afghan last christmas, this year, although he is home, i made up a box of things, like marmite, puzzle books, and a few decorations and it was sent over to one of the barracks out there. Didnt cost alot most came from pound shop....

Nice to hear some niceness going around :)

In cheltenham there is one man who is always on the same corner and been there for years he was on the news a couple of days ago aswell. He's actually a really nice man and everytime I'm in town I'll buy him a coffee and have a chat for a bit.
